KATY BETH BARBER

Kara Arena is an actor and singer/
songwriter based in NYC. She received a BFA in Musical Theater from The Boston Conservatory and then went on to study for 2 years at The William Esper Studio of Acting. Last year she was awarded AEA's Roger Sturtevant Musical Theater Award for excellence in theater performance. This year, she will be playing the title role in a new musical called Sabina, making its world premiere at Portland Stage.

Katy Beth Barber is from the mountains and rivers of Chattanooga, TN. Favorite past credits include Tracy (​​Hairspray), Rusty (Footloose), and Madame Thernardier (Les Mis). Origianlly from St. Louis, Missouri, Brittani moved her passion for story telling and gifts to do so across the country to NYC in 2017.   An alumni of the Open Jar Institute Residency Program, she recently produced and performed her own solo cabaret "Part of Me" as well as began writing her own music.  Some favorite credits include Baker's Wife (​Into the Woods), Eponine (Les Miserables), and Ariel Moore (Footloose).  She has a love for tv and film as well.  With the belief that every individual has a unique light to bring to this world, she is excited to see where hers takes her! Humbled by every opportunity.
Credits include “Berenstain Bears” tour, “Molly the Manatee” LAB at 92 y, and she recently originated the role of Ella on “The Elf On The Shelf” national tour. She looks forward to what adventures await.

Favorite credits include Natalie in ​​​​​​Next to Normal, Sophie in Mamma Mia, Natalya in Preludes, and Violet in the national tour of A Charlie Brown Christmas. BFA: VCU. Much love to the entire Rehearsal Club team for this exciting opportunity!
