RC 1970
Two-time Daytime Emmy Nominee for her role as " Katie Parker" on The Guiding Light, Denise is now an  independent theater professional who has raised two gorgeous women, Jolan and Brette Boockvor, and continues to adore her dance partner and husband, Steve Boockvor , celebrating 40+ years together.

She is a proud member of The Articulate Theatre Company in NYC and continues to work as an actress across the boards.
Denise has been blessed to work with some of the best directors in the business during her Broadway heydays: Michael Kidd (The Rothschilds), Michael Bennett (Follies & A Chorus Line) and Bob Fosse (Pippin).   Her decade on Broadway culminated in her husband and her being immortalized as the prototypes for "Al" (the guy from the Bronx) and "Kristine" (the girl who can't sing) on the Line.

Chapter 2 was spent in the wonderful world, now gone, with "The Guiding Light."  Her character, "Katie" became a favorite and allowed her the opportunity behind-the-scenes to create her favorite role: mother.   Nice having it all for a while, right?  She credits Bridgitte & Jerome Dobson with creating her and Director, John Pasquin with developing "Katie's" unique-to-daytime "comedic" character.
Chapter 3 has been the challenge.  Age.  Re-inventing yourself.  Enter the women of The Rehearsal Club and the Articulate Theatre Company .  Returning to college via Fordham University to complete her BFA from NC School of the Arts, became a journey for acquiring new skills to use as a filmmaker, graphic designer and writer -- all of which are serving as valuable staples to be her own business.
