Debbie Andrews
RC 1971 - 1972
While still in high school Debbie was cast in her hometown Detroit's production of the rock musical "HAiR”.  She then toured, opened the Wash DC show after which she came to Broadway playing the role of Crissy, singing "Frank Mills.”  During the Broadway gig, Debbie found the Rehearsal Club.

"I really loved my time at the RC, there were such a spectrum of personalities and great talent.  I remember singing for each other and trying out audition pieces, the camaraderie was warm, smart, electric and fun!  I was fresh out of high school so brownstones, fire escapes and pigeons were all new to me, it was thrilling!"

After touring with rock bands, singing jingles in NYC and receiving a Jazz Fellowship grant for piano, she played some of the finest piano rooms including The Plaza and the Waldorf-Astoria where in 2017 she finished a seven year gig playing and singing pop and jazz standards in Peacock Alley on Cole Porter’s piano.
Debbie co-founded the band Gladshot featuring her songwriting, keyboard and vocal skills. Gladshot has licensed over 30 songs from their CDs to film and TV.  The band’s rock musical, “BARCODE” cowritten with Jim Rado ( HAiR) was featured in 2013 at the New York International Fringe Festival at La MaMa’s Ellen Stewart Theater.   www.barcodedatajams.com
